Replacement Windows Tax Credit Info
- The tax credit for is for the products only, and was raised from 10% to 30%
- The maximum allowable credit has been raised from $500 to $1,500 for 2009-2010
- The replacement windows would need to be installed between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010
- All replacement windows purchased by the homeowner must be installed in their principal residence
- All manufacturer certificates, recepits, and NFRC labels should be saved for application
- The tax credit applies to replacement windows and doors only - installations for new construction are ineligible
